I had purchased the Agaro Regency Digital Air Fryer through Amazon on 22 Apr 2024. It worked quite well for about 1 1/2 months. However, one day when I was trying to cook some food, I noticed that while the fan was operating, the air was not heating up, which I could make out by placing my hand just behind the rear exhaust. I ran it for about 15 minutes to confirm the same and after opening the air fryer, the interior compartment was still at room temperature. So, there was obviously a problem with the heating element. I thereafter made a complaint through the Agaro Lifestyle website, and got an automated acknowledgement. However, since there was no immediate response from the Customer Care, I wrote them an email attaching the invoice copy. After a few days, I got my first call from an Agaro Customer Care executive asking me to describe the exact problem, which I did and then asking for a copy of the invoice. Though I had forwarded the invoice in my email, I again sent a WA copy on the number on which the executive had called me. Sadly, there was again no response in terms of a service engineer coming to attend to the defect. A few days afterwards, however, I got a call from another executive, again asking for invoice as well as a 30 sec video of the problem. I explained that a video would not reveal the problem, since it concerned the heating element, which she apparently understood. She then asked me 'to be patient' while they attended to the complaint and thereafter forwarded me a copy of the demand for the spare part (heating element), which I did not understand since the product is still under warranty. However, till today (18 June) - almost a month after the problem occurred - no service engineer has called or come to repair the defect with the spare part. I have repeatedly been calling the customer care, but the calls are mostly not picked up. I just wanted to share my real life experience, since I see that this particular brand and model of Air Fryer is getting a lot of positive reviews. I realise that reviewers do not have the luxury of testing these products over several months and they have to base their reviews on first impressions. Nevertheless, it is important for prospective buyers to understand the real world problems that actual users such as myself may face, not just in the product quality itself but also in the after sales service, especially in non metro cities, so they can take a more considered decision.
